Fear of (being accused of doing) AI

Tags: llmRecently there has been a stronger sentiment against AI, and a side effect of that is that people are "accused" of using AI for something. By AI I mean generative AI, LLMs or agentic coding. Happens with youtube video, github projects, blog posts and even instagram pictures. While the sentiment might be justifiable, it oftens ends up falsely accusing work that is actually handcrafted.
When writing my blog this is something I keep in mind. Looking back, I had many typos, sometimes bad grammar, or just some weird ways of saying things. It is very easy to just tell an LLM to fix it all, but then it might add some word that is very LLM-like and someone reading the post might assume that it was done by AI and the whole blog too. So, do I leave it full of typos so it is obvious that it was human written by a non native speaker? It would be sloppy either way, although one might say that human slop is preferable.
Another aspect, is that not all LLM assisted work is slop. One can use it effectivelly as a tool without "vibecoding", e.g my new game. There are still ethical concerns, which are not erased by "mindful use", but at least it is put to better use. These kind of projects can be more than mindless prompting.
This is an interesting association, where some prople may back-off from AI due to fear of being associated with it. On the other hand, some not using AI might get accused of doing so, and in case of creative work, it can be quite damaging to reputation.
In my case, in this blog, I have added tags to everything that was
created or not with LLMs, non-llm and
llm-project. Content talking about LLMs, generative AI
or agentic coding are also properly tagged: llm, artificial
intelligence and agentic.
All content, as it text, here is hand written.
